The faculty of law will host the third annual student run conference Trending Now #NewLaw in the new law building, Old Main at TRU on Feb. 4 and 5.

Ground breaking Supreme Court of Canada decisions, the advent of new technologies, the impact of legal spheres outside the traditional courtroom, and changes in the practices, structures, and methods used by both law firms and law schools are some of the topics to be explored and analyzed by legal experts and students during the two days.

The conference will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and is open to Thompson Rivers University students as well as the public. A conference schedule can be found at http://www.trusls.org.

“This year’s event covers a very diverse array of topics that will be addressed by students and staff of the Faculty,” said Dean of Law Bradford Morse.
