Symphony opens season with spirit
ARTS — The Kamloops Symphony kicks off its season with Sublime Spirit on Saturday, Sept. 27, 7 p.m. at the Sagebrush Theatre.
The symphony will be joined by guest soloist Sara Davis Buechner for the Classic Series program.
Buechner is an award-winning concert pianist who has been praised by the New York Times as a musician of “intelligence, integrity and all-encompassing technical prowess.”
She has an active repertoire of more than 100 piano concertos and has appeared as a soloist with several of the world’s most prominent orchestras including New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Vancouver, the CBC Radio Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic, and BBC Philharmonic.
