Lake to address chamber at June 13 luncheon
NEWS/ BUSINESS — Health Minister Terry Lake will talk about what’s in store for Kamloops when the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce hosts him at its quarterly luncheon June 13.
“Minister Lake will outline the priorities for the ministry of health and plans for the Kamloops region,” said chamber president Aleece Laird. “Anyone interested in the state of our health services should plan to attend.”
The event is sponsored by the Welcome Back Clinic.
The luncheon will be in Hotel 540 on Victoria Street from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for members and $55 for non-members.

This is more than interesting because the province is party to a lawsuit by the private Cambie Surgery Clinic that is trying to overturn the very concept of comprehensive public not-for-profit health care. Here is the Minister of Health speaking at an event
