  2. How about….none of the above?

    Take a trip to Europe. The focal point of almost every city is the central square (which might be triangular or circular or any other shape). A large, open, vehicle-free expanse, usually cobble-paved, it hosts farmers’ markets, street performers, speeches, demonstrations and other public events. The city just spent almost $5 million on this property and is talking about spending millions more. Maybe it’s time for some of those highly-paid city planners and administrators to actually plan for the future.
