Thompson Rivers University professors and students, together with representatives from various communities and organizations in Kamloops, are hosting this year’s Rally for Peace, Social Justice, and the Environment which will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026.

This year’s Rally will be held at the Kamloops Farmers’ Market/Stuart Wood School. The event will offer a full slate of activities, entertainment, children’s games, and poster making. Organizers say the venue gives those attending the farmers’ market an opportunity to enjoy the event and to celebrate and promote peace, a safe environment, and social justice.

“Now more than ever, we need to come together to promote peace and protect the earth,” said organizer George Johnson. “War, pollution, and the violation of human and democratic rights are evident worldwide and we need to double down on our work for peace, the environment, and social justice.”

Music and speakers start at 10 a.m. with the walk leaving the school grounds at noon.
