POLICE – Three arrested after report of weapon at Ord Road home

A large police presence was visible near Ord Road as officers responded to a weapon report involving a firearm.

On Friday, April 3, 2026, at about 1:12 p.m., multiple frontline police responded to a report of a female running into a residence in the 1700-block of Ord Road with a firearm.

“The Emergency Response Team was called in to support frontline officers,” said RCMP Cpl. Dana Napier.  “As part of ongoing safety efforts, nearby residents were evacuated from their homes.”

A female and male were arrested safely.  As the investigation unfolded it was a determined a third person remained inside.  A second male was arrested without incident, a firearm was seized and the file remains under investigation.  The female was held in custody due to outstanding warrants while the two males were later released without charges.
