COMMUNITY – 12th annual Family Day Festival will be held at TCC Feb. 16

Family Day is coming Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, and so is the 12th annual Family Day Festival. It’s a free event and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tournament Capital Centre (910 McGill Road).

There will be performances by Uncle Chris the Clown as well as music and dance performances by Bells of Note, Sim’ya Ukrainian Society Dancers, Old Time Fiddlers, and Lorena’s School of Highland Dancing.

Community organizations and businesses will offer family-focused activities, including arts and crafts, face painting, bouncy castles, live performances, science experiments, sports activities, and musical instrument exploration.

Residents can also take advantage of toonie skate and swim programs. For two dollars per person, families are can enjoy:

  • public skating at Valleyview Arena, 12–1 p.m. and 1:15–2:15 p.m. (registration required)
  • public swimming at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre, 1–4 p.m.

If you’re looking to stay active on Family Day, the wellness centre and weight room facilities at the Tournament Capital Centre will be open 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
