A raid on a Tamarack Avenue address has netted 19 firearms, ammunition, drugs and cash.

RCMP announced today (Feb. 4, 2026) the Crime Reduction Unit made the haul following a targeted investigation that started with a traffic stop on Jan. 8.

Police executed a search warrant yesterday in the 200-block of Tamarack Avenue and seized property that includes:

  • 19 firearms
  • A significant quantity of ammunition
  • Illegal drugs
  • Undisclosed amount of Canadian currency

“By removing guns from the streets, we are taking proactive steps to reduce the potential for violent crime and enhance public safety,” said Sgt. Jason Pole, in charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment Crime Reduction Unit.

One man allegedly associated to the property was arrested prior to the search warrant being executed. He has since been released with charge recommendations anticipated as the investigation continues.

Police are encouraging anyone with information regarding criminal or gang-related activity to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
