FIRE – Two vehicle fires on Victoria Street believed to have been intentional

Two vehicle fires on Victoria Street last night (Jan. 7, 2025) appear to have been deliberately set, according to police.

Kamloops Fire Rescue  and RCMP responded to Victoria Street West about 7 p.m. after the two vehicles were engulfed in flames, and were followed by explosions.

“The Kamloops RCMP continues to collaborate with Kamloops Fire Rescue investigators to learn more about the cause of the fire” said Cpl. Dana Napier.

“Early assessment of the fire indicates that it does appear to be arson, however, the investigation is ongoing.”

Anyone with information relating to the fire is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2026-721.
