POLICE – Woman seriously injured when struck by vehicle at intersection

 

A woman who was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street at the intersection of Summit Drive and Columbia Street remains in hospital with serious injuries.

On Jan. 4, at about 10:40 p.m. Kamloops RCMP frontline police responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.  BC Ambulance attended and took the woman, who suffered serious injuries, to hospital.  The driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with police.

Cpl. Dana Napier said the driver was arrested and later released.  “Police are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has video footage of the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2026-365.
