LETTER – Free downtown parking is being hogged by store employees

Mel, have you tried parking downtown lately? With the current free parking, everyone who works downtown parks there. There is no room for people who wish to shop.

I could not find parking anywhere near Fratelli’s or Cafe Motivo. I parked in front of the library and afterwards circled around Fratelli’s again — same cars — not moving. This does not help the downtown merchants. It has the opposite effect.
