FIRE – Two escape burning house, cause of fire described as ‘suspicious’

Two people who went to hospital after escaping a house fire are expected to be released from hospital.

On Oct. 27, 2025, at around 11:15 p.m., RCMP were called to the 300-block of Alexander Avenue to support Kamloops Fire Rescue as they worked to extinguish a structure fire.

“Preliminary evidence indicates that this fire is suspicious,” said RCMP Cpl. Dana Napier.  “Our General Investigation Support Team along with Kamloops Fire Rescue is looking into the exact cause and origin of the fire.”

Anyone that may have video footage or observed anything suspicious around the time of the fire is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2025-35997.

  1. Kamloops rolled out the red carpet for the dregs of society. Woke councillors and the homeless services industry swooped in. No one should be surprised that Kamloops has tuned into Gotham City.
