POLICE – One person killed in collision between transit bus and fuel truck

A crash between a transit bus and a fuel truck caused a fatality and shut down the 900-block of Ord Road this morning (Oct. 1, 2025).

Police were called to the scene about 10:50 a.m., along with Kamloops Fire Rescue, resulting in Ord being closed between Westsyde Road at 8th Street and Singh Road.

Cpl. Dana Napier reported that one person died in the collision. She said the transit bus was not in service, so no passengers were onboard. “As a result of the crash fuel was spilled and Kamloops Fire Rescue is on scene to clean up the spill,” she said.

Anyone with dash cam or a witness to the crash is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2025 – 32756.
