An occasional look at events in the life of Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson.

CBC Daybreak Kamloops is reporting this morning (Sept. 8, 2025) that Kamloops Fire Rescue was called to extinguish a fire on Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson’s Tru Market property on Victoria Street West last evening.

The report said the fire was extinguished in a few minutes and it sounds as though the only damage was to a fence at the back of the property. A KFR spokesman said an examination of the area found no obvious cause.

The property has been the scene of various unfortunate incidents. In October 2022, a vehicle was torched, and then again in 2023.

Recently, the inside of the car sales building was broken into and severely vandalized.

  3. No obvious cause eh? Well the probable cause was the crackhead drug addicts. 99.5% of fires are started by drugged up crackheads. Especially that street.

We need to increase the stigma of addiction and those who enable the addicts.
