POLICE – Public asked to avoid Fleetwood Ave. during RCMP presence

Members of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT) were deployed to a residence on the North Shore this morning (Sept. 5, 2025).

At about 10:15 a.m., police attended the 2300-block of Fleetwood Avenue to execute a high‑risk search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation. While details related to the operation are not available for release at this time, the public is asked to avoid the area until officers have cleared the scene. As a precaution schools in the vicinity have been notified.

S/Sgt. Darren Durnin said more information will be released as it becomes available.

“The Kamloops RCMP Detachment thanks the community for its patience and understanding.”
