POLICE – Two motorcyclists killed in accidents, one person drowns

Three people have died in three separate accidents, say Kamloops police. RCMP S/Sgt. Kelly Butler today released information on fatalities and said investigations are ongoing into all of them.

18-year-old killed in motorcycle crash

At about 5:30 pm on Aug. 23, Kamloops RCMP responded to a single vehicle motorcycle MVI in the 8000 block of Barnhartvale Road which claimed the life of the 18-year old driver.  The incident is still under investigation by Kamloops Traffic Services.

Drowning at Tobiano being investigated

Tk’emlups RCMP are currently investigating a drowning that occurred on August 23, 2025 at Tobiano.  No further details are being released at this point pending notification of next of kin.

Highway 5 motorcycle accident claims life

Tk’emlups RCMP responded to a single-vehicle MVI on Hwy 5 near the Timber Lake FSR involving a motorcycle.  Upon arrival, the MVI was deemed to be a fatal with the 60-year-old driver having succumbed to his injuries on scene.  The MVI is still under investigation by Tk’emlups RCMP.
