CULTURE – Food, dance and more at Indigenous Peoples Day celebration

Cultural performances and food will be featured at National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Tk̓emlúps Arbour.
Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc will host the even, in collaboration with the Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society, ASK Wellness Society, Two Rivers Métis Society, Lii Michif Otipemisiwak, and the City of Kamloops.
Event highlights include:
Cultural Performances: Experience the power and beauty of Indigenous music, drumming, jigging, fiddlers, and dance.
Traditional Art and Craft Displays & Vendors: View and purchase handcrafted works from talented Indigenous artisans.
Educational Workshops: Engage in storytelling, language sessions, and cultural teachings led by respected Knowledge Keepers.
Delicious Indigenous Cuisine: Savor traditional and contemporary Indigenous dishes that celebrate the richness of Indigenous culinary traditions.
Interactive Activities: Participate in hands-on cultural experiences, including traditional games and demonstrations.
