POLICE – Guns, drugs, stolen property seized in Sifton Avenue warrant

Yesterday’s (May 20, 2025) police presence in Aberdeen saw more than a dozen firearms removed from a residence, along with a variety of other property associated to crime.

On Tuesday, the Kamloops RCMP detachment’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the support of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a search warrant on Sifton Avenue.

“The warrant’s execution was associated to a firearms investigation initiated by CRU, which proved to be productive given the number of items located and seized in the residence,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“The assistance of ERT was requested due to the high-risk nature involving the possible – then proven — presence of weapons at the property.”

Along with firearms, police officers seized suspected drugs, stolen property, and vehicles.

One person was arrested and later released as part of the ongoing investigation. Charge recommendations are anticipated.
