I have stated several times in comments on this blog that the Tariffs were the issue not Trump. I am sure President Trump fully recalls the relentless attacks he faced from the Clinton campaign and its allies in 2016. They accused Russia of interfering in the election, alleging it hacked the DNC Sanders campaign to bolster Trump to win in 2016 against Hillery Clinton. The “Russiagate” narrative was heavily funded and amplified by the media, which conveniently ignored WikiLeaks’ exposés and the arrest of one of their own, Julian Assange. Their goal was to derail Trump’s campaign, but they failed. To sustain the narrative, Russiagate was kept alive by the Democrats and their paid media plants , fueling a broader smear campaign against Trump throughout his first term. His allies, advisors, and even his family were targeted.
Much of what the media wrote about Trump, even now is used as character assassination, unsubstantiated but was/is reported as facts without evidence. The media response reminds me of a wolf howling in the forest the whole valley echoes in unison with their version of “Peter and the Wolf” The media does not care what the truth is as long as it is their truth.
The Mueller investigation echoed McCarthy-era tactics, particularly as war hawks grew alarmed by Trump’s push for détente with Russia, an end to foreign wars, troop withdrawals, negotiations with North Korea, and scrutiny of NATO’s bloated budgets. The allegations against Trump were largely fabricated, yet they persisted into the 2020 election. Some Democrats even aligned with far-right elements in Europe, rebranding neo-Nazis as “freedom fighters,” honoring them in places like Canada’s parliament, and erecting monuments to war criminals in parts of the EU while dismantling memorials to those who fought to defeat fascism. Billions were spent to support neo-Nazi factions in overthrowing Ukraine’s government.
If this sounds far-fetched, consider the evidence: the outgoing Biden administration pardoned over a thousand individuals involved in spreading falsehoods and committing crimes, many of whom were instrumental in smearing Clinton’s opponents, particularly Trump. Despite a lack of concrete evidence linking Russia to election interference, and we in Canada to Chinese and Indian interference the lies, omissions, and character assassinations continued unabated, even using porn stars to do it.

Maybe it’s time to stop citing the “Nazi honoured in Parliament” incident as if MPs knowingly honoured and cheered a Nazi. We well know that the incident was due to a failure in screening, not to a desire to honour Nazis.
