CITY HALL – City-wide test alert scheduled for May 8

The City of Kamloops will issue a city-wide test alert tomorrow, May 8, 2025, through its emergency notification system, Voyent Alert!. Depending on the type of messaging each individual has registered for, the test alert will go out by SMS text, phone call, email, and notification through the app.

As some devices automatically offload unused apps, registered app users are encouraged to verify that the app is active on their devices. Residents are also encouraged to open their Voyent Alert! app or log in to their account at Kamloops.ca/Voyent to ensure their locations are positioned accurately.

If an evacuation alert or order is put in place due to flood, wildfire, or critical incident, the system will be a vway of alerting and updating the public. If used, the notification will include important information about the event and instructions on what action, if any, is required.

Registration for Voyent Alert! is free, simple, and anonymous. You can unsubscribe at any time. Visit Kamloops.ca/Voyent for details and download the Voyent Alert! app from Google Play or the App Store.
