POLICE – Man stabbed after confrontation in gas station parking lot

One man was taken to hospital after police were called to a report of a stabbing in Valleyview Tuesday night.

On March 4, 2025, around 10:35 p.m., Kamloops RCMP responded to the 1700-block of the Trans Canada Highway East, where a man was suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds. He was transported to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the report, the victim had been in a gas station parking lot when he approached a vehicle and a confrontation occurred. The victim was assaulted outside of a nearby restaurant soon after.

“Thanks to the quick response and investigational efforts of the responding officers, police were able to locate the vehicle and arrest a suspect,” said Cp.l Crystal Evelyn.

A Kamloops man was later released with a court date and conditions. Charge recommendations are anticipated.
