POLICE – Three arrested after break-ins and theft from storage containers

A quick response to a commercial break-and-enter in progress led to police locating three suspects and taking them into custody.

On. Jan. 9, 2025, around 1:30 a.m., Kamloops RCMP were called to the 1000-block of Hillside Drive where suspects had entered multiple storage containers and were stealing from them.

“Thanks to updates provided to the responding police officers, they were able to quickly locate the first two suspects nearby and arrest them,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“As part of the investigation, two other suspects were also arrested soon after, and stolen merchandise was recovered and returned.”

One person was later released without process, while the other three were released with court dates and conditions. Charge recommendations are anticipated for consideration. One of the suspects was also wanted on unendorsed warrants; he was held for court during which he was released with a next appearance date for Jan. 13.

Anyone with information that may be related to this occurrence is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2025-757.
