POLICE – Man struck by vehicle while sitting against wall at gas station

A Kamloops RCMP presence remains at the scene of a North Shore gas station where a person was struck by a vehicle this morning (Nov. 27, 2024).

At about 4:40 a.m., Kamloops RCMP were called to the 200-block of Tranquille Road, where a vehicle struck a person who was sitting against a wall. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

“A visible police presence is in the area as officers investigate the collision, with the assistance of a Provincial Traffic Reconstructionist,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.”

The BC Coroners Service will be conducting a concurrent investigation.
