POLITICS – Stamer, Milobar land high profile critics’ roles in shadow cabinet

Ward Stamer, Peter Milobar.
Kamloops’ two MLAs landed prominent critics’ jobs with the Opposition BC Conservatives today (Nov. 20, 2024) as party leader John Rustad unveiled his shadow cabinet.
Peter Milobar, the BC United-turned Conservative member for Kamloops Centre, will serve as finance critic while rookie Ward Stamer of Kamloops-North Thompson will shadow forests. Stamer has many years of experience in the forest industry.
Among the other 39 appointments, former high profile BC United member Elenore Sturko will take on the role of critic for solicitor general and public safety, Aaliya Warbus for house leader, and Steve Kooner attorney general, Lynne Block education, and Linda Hepner, housing.
Fraser-Nicola MLA Tony Luck will be the critic for municipal affairs and local government.
There are 44 Conservative MLAs, meaning only three of them weren’t appointed to additional duties.
MLAs are paid $119,532.72 annually.
I have been looking for contact info via email for Ward Stamer MLA. He is representing folks in Westmount subdivision.
As I promised, I shall be contacting our new MLA to see if he can introduce private member’s legislation for the recall of municipal politicians.
