Starting today (Nov. 18, 2024), one can purchase and redeem a gift card online or in person at the Tournament Capital Centre, Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre or the Kamloops Museum and Archives.
Online purchases can be made at Kamloops.ca/GiftCards where you can also view FAQs and the terms and conditions. You will require a City of Kamloops recreation account to purchase and track the gift card. Once purchased, the gift card can be printed, or you can email a copy to the recipient. The recipient will require an account to use the gift card. More about creating an account can be found at Kamloops.ca/CreateAccount.
“The introduction of gift cards spreads the gift of recreation throughout our community making our facilities, programs, and activities even more accessible,” said Andrew Smeaton, the City’s business operations and events supervisor.
“Adding a gift card option has been a wish list item not only for ourselves, but customers too, and we are very excited to be able to help make recreation in our community more accessible.”
Updated Punch Passes – New Pricing and Policies
Starting Nov. 18, 2024, changes will be applied to swim punch passes for the Canada Games Aquatic Centre and Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre. Updates include new terms and conditions and adjusted family punch pass pricing.
Punch Passes sold as of Nov. 18 will be valid for two years and are non-transferable. Family punch passes have a change in price and will now require only one punch per family—no more individual punches for each family member. The change in price to the family punch pass extends the dollar value per household.
Punch passes are digital and reside on the account holder’s recreation account. The punch pass balance will be reduced with each visit. Once the punch pass has a zero balance, a new pass can be purchased.
Existing passes, Legacy Punch Passes, sold before Nov. 18, 2024, will be honored with their original terms and conditions. Rates and terms and conditions of punch passes are available online for each facility at Kamloops.ca/Aquatics.
That they finally introduced recreational gift cards is a “wow” moment indeed!
