Kamloops RCMP are reminding everyone to ensure they check their children’s Hallowe’en treats after a member of the public reported finding a razor blade in a candy.

The complainant reported her daughter, who had been trick or treating in the Brock area Thursday night (Oct. 31, 2024),  found a candy in her bag today that had been partially opened and a small razor blade was observed protruding from the candy.

The child notified her mother immediately and the mother notified the police.

It is unknown which residence the candy originated from and there have been no other reports.
