Letter – This citizen takes a stand with an alternate view of Mayor RHJ

Dear Armchair Mayor,
I just read the article about Mayor Hamer-Jackson having lost his office and his new working space at City Hall will be in the basement. Also, without going into details, this month’s Deputy Mayor has outlined the reason(s) for the move.
I have attached a photo in pdf to provide your readers with an alternate view of Mayor Reid. There’s an old saying” “If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.” For me, the old saying has an application in today’s world. Standing on the sidewalk with another fellow supporter of a guy who believes Reid has been bullied, has been an absolute privilege.
Hell will freeze over before I would even consider having the name of any of the “gang of 8” on a placard.
Thanks for your balanced journalism, Mel.
JOHN NOAKES,
Citizen of Westmount
Dear Mr. John Noakes,
What you have said is so true that the Mayor is the one whom is being bullied and not the other way around; what this council is doing is immoral and most likely illegal. I wonder how they are getting any work done as they have become secretive in what they have done.
Here is another example that this council has rubbed and humiliated Mayor Hamer-Jackson is when the Memorial for Capt. Jenn Casey was opened officially to the public a councillor gave a speech while Mayor Hamer-Jackson was sitting in the audience when he should of been giving the speech and opening the Memorial and Park.
I wonder how many are going to be sitting on Council next term and there will be only one that I will be voting for and it won’t be anyone on the GANG OF 8.
Thank You and Regards
Rod Totten
