POLICE – Man taken to hospital with serious injuries after apparent attack

Multiple police officers responded to the 1100-block of 13th Street this morning (Wednesday, June 26, 2024), where a man was located with serious injuries.

 At about 7 a.m., RCMP were called to home where a man was suffering from wounds consistent with blunt force.

“A man was transported to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries, the extent of which are unknown at this time,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

“A police presence remains in the area as officers continue to investigate with the assistance of numerous support units, including the General Investigations Support Team, Crime Reduction Unit, and Forensic Identifications Services.”

Anyone who witnessed, has security video, or dash camera footage that may have captured anyone arriving or fleeing from the residence, or could be related to this incident, is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-20005.
