B.C. ELECTION – Sunderman chosen to run for Greens in Kamloops Centre
Randy Sunderman will carry the banner for the BC Greens in Kamloops Centre in the next provincial election.
The party made the announcement today (April 17, 2024). Sunderman, an economic consultant, has worked on various projects in Kamloops and across the country during the past 30 years, a news release from the party stated.
The release said his areas of expertise include economic development, business planning, socio-economic assessments for land use planning, and economic assessments for major projects.
Sunderman ran for a City council position in the last municipal election, finishing ninth.
“I am honoured to represent a party that deeply values the balance between our environment, social welfare, economic integrity, and healthcare excellence,” Sunderman stated.
“With Kamloops poised for growth and diversification, now is the time for innovative, evidence-based approaches, and I look forward to working hard in a collaborative fashion to ensure these crucial initiatives succeed.”
Sunderman’s opponents so far include incumbent BC United MLA Peter Milobar and Dennis Giesbrecht of the BC Conservatives. The NDP haven’t chosen a candidate yet, though Coun. Bill Sarai wants the nomination.
The election is scheduled for Oct. 19.

Randy Sunderman has the smarts, experience and integrity to properly represent me and the interests of Kamloops in Victoria. Very glad to see a quality candidate running.
