Re: EDITORIAL – Carbon tax needs more understanding and less grandstanding
Such a pathetic blurb of writing. Would it matter to the environment? Really? Canada’s contribution to world CO2 emissions?
Good grief give the lame commentary a rest please. If you would like to prop up the most pathetic government in Canada’s history then place a lawn sign. Canada’s contribution to world CO2 emissions is completely insignificant. You know it, I know it and the world knows it.
Economists say, blah, blah,blah. Oh really? I have read far too many “economists” reports that say otherwise. Maybe a nice chat with the likes of Rex Murphy would offer you a more clear viewpoint in what seems to be a foggy opinion. Perhaps a chat with India and China would be a good start as you well know.
Get out of the average Canadian’s pocket, save the rhetoric about rebates and explanations. Do you really believe there is any credibility left in any explanation about anything this government is doing?
I look forward to seeing your Liberal lawn sign in the can’t-come-soon-enough federal election. Until then please keep your overly obvious, one-sided opinions where they belong, on your keyboard only.

Is he literally knocking an opinion piece as ‘one sided’?
Perhaps one could explain to him that is exactly what an opinion piece is by definition. Its one thing to disagree with the opinion, but thats not what he is doing here. He actually told the opinionator to … not write at all.
So much for free speech.
We are left to wonder if he would be so adamantly against an opinion piece in which he agrees with? If he isnt, then he doesnt believe in such freedoms at all.

Maybe 2024 will be the year of two-sided opinions?
For sure in 2024 one-sided opinions could run the risk of encountering the likes of Mike and the ilk who don’t seem keen to listen to anyone with an alternative perspective.
Which brings us back to the original premise of less understanding and more grandstanding.
