I wonder if Peter Milobar MLA for KAMLOOPS North Thompson read your article.
Mr. Milobar was on radio NL today Tuesday 22 August trying to make political points and criticizing how the present government isn’t doing enough. He says that Premier Eby is coming to KAMLOOPS and the fire ravaged Shuswap area as a photo op.
He never once recognized the tremendous work and effort of the fire fighters from all over the province. Nor acknowledge the pain and suffering of those who lost everything in the fire.
As an example here is a copy of Mr. Milobar’s tweet 3 days ago.
“I think we can now all agree that despite @BowinnMa claims earlier today that we have all the resources we need, we clearly don’t. Explain to me what happens to the patient that needs this air ambulance. @Dave_Eby needs to call the state of emergency. #bcpoli #Kamloops”
In times of crisis we all need to work together not take cheap shots.
Shame on you Mr. Milobar. I hope you don’t represents the values of the newly branded BC United party. There is nothing United about you.
I will not be voting for the BC United party.

Please, the firefighting folks are the GREATEST.
It’s the MANAGEMENT of the blockades, supplies and lack of resources that prevents the crews from acting earlier when the fires are spotted.

We should be grateful that there are people who would put their lives on the line to protect us and our homes. They don’t know us yet they endure horrendous heat and fire, lousy sleeping accommodations (note the tents at Mac Park) and long hours for us. We should be very thankful. My son sent me a Facebook post somebody sent to him and he in turn sent to me about how bad a job some people thought the fire folks were doing in the Shuswap. Lawn chair fire fighters should put up or shut up. Their homes were saved and they are alive, that is what matters.
