LETTER – Fundraising dinner will support store hit by smash-and-grab

As you may (or not) be aware, in the early morning hours of July 3, 2023, two brazen people smashed their way into the Heffley Creek Store causing $20K in damages and losses.

The Heffley Creek Store has been a landmark for 126 years and is so much more than “just a corner store”. The owners, managers and staff have been supporting our community for decades with their generous donations and with sponsorship of local community events such as Heffley Creek School events, Hockey Night In Heffley Annual Hockey Tournament and many more. Our community wants to show how much we appreciate all the Store does – and so we are organizing an Appreciation and Fundraising Dinner Event with details below:

What: Heffley Creek Store Appreciation & Fundraising Dinner Event – We will have a locally sourced roast beef dinner fundraising event including raffles, 50/50, silent auction, live music and FUN!

Where: Heffley Creek Community Hall, 6995 Old Hwy 5, Kamloops, BC
When: Saturday, August 12, 2023   Doors @ 4 pm, Dinner & Entertainment 5-8 pm
Who: Hosted by the Heffley Creek Community Rec Association (HCCRA) which can issue charitable donation tax receipts

Early bird pricing (July 10-21) save 25% off
Table discounts for buying a whole table of 10 – save 15%
We can take cash, EMT, check, credit, interac or ticket purchases via Eventbrite ticket link
Prices:
Adult admission & meal = $20
Senior (60+) or Student admission & meal = $15
Child (12 & under) admission & meal = $10
Admission for entertainment and gaming only = $10
