A child’s special tricycle, stolen from their home on the North Shore, has been returned to its rightful owner thanks to a tip from the public.

On May 31, 2023, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment requested the public’s assistance in locating a folding blue tricycle with three regular sized bicycle tires, taken sometime overnight on May 27-28 from the 1100-block of Laroque Street.

On June 8, 2023, around noon, police received a report indicating the tricycle was seen on the 100-block of Victoria Street West. Officers attended and seized the property.

“The tricycle had been modified with some paint and stickers, but was confirmed to be the one reported as stolen and belonging to the child,” said RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

The tricycle has since been returned to its rightful owner. Police thanked the public and the media for their assistance.
