POLICE – Armed robbery and assault on Summit Drive being investigated

Kamloops RCMP are looking for witnesses following an early morning armed robbery that saw one person taken to hospital.

At 7:13 a.m. today (June 8, 2021), officers responded to a panic alarm at a business on the 1200-block of Summit Drive. While en route, police were updated that a person had reported being robbed and injured at that location.

Multiple police officers responded including Police Dog Services, General Investigation Services Team, Street Enforcement, and other units. The public is asked to please avoid areas where police are searching.

Anyone who saw anything or has any information related to this investigation is asked to please contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2021-18916.
