WEATHER – Downtown snow removal to get underway overnight

Downtown snow removal will start tonight (Jan. 15, 2020) at 8 p.m., and crews will work until 6 a.m. on Thursday morning to clear the windrows from Lansdowne, Victoria, and Seymour Streets between 1st and 6th Avenues.

A City press release says that on Thursday, following the same schedule, crews will work to clear the windrows from Lansdowne, Victoria, and Seymour Streets between 6th Avenue and 13th Avenue.

Weather permitting, snow removal will take place in the Tranquille business district next week. Crews will start at the east end of Tranquille Road and work west towards 8th Street, starting the night of Tuesday, Jan. 21.

Residents are asked to obey all traffic control devices and not park on the streets during these times. Vehicles parked on these streets during these times may be subject to towing.
