PETERS – Safe return home of missing man gives us reason to keep hoping

IF NEWS IS SUPPOSED TO BE stories that are unexpected or out of the ordinary, then the biggest news story of the week wasn’t the approval of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.

That was hardly unexpected. The federal government had telegraphed it for months.

And the biggest news wasn’t the continuation of the forest crisis that is costing many hundreds of BC families their jobs. That has also been coming for a long time.

No, the biggest story was a Kamloops man walking up his front yard into the loving arms of his family.
