POLICE – Man in custody after morning incident at Cypress Avenue home
A police incident at a residence in the 200-block of Cypress Avenue ended peacefully today (June 19, 2019) after causing some excitement in the neighbourhood.
The situation began at 6 a.m. when a disturbance was reported to police. Part of Cypress Avenue was closed off by police. At 8:20 a.m. a man inside the home came out and was taken into police custody.
No firearms were involved, RCMP said.
“Again, Kamloops RCMP would like to thank the neighbourhood for their patience and understanding while this incident was taking place,” said Cpl. Jodi Shelkie.
All investigation information will be forwarded to the B.C. Prosecution Service who will determine if there will be any charges.
