POLICE – Sledge hammer, possibly firearms used in home invasion
Kamloops RCMP are again asking anyone with information about the home invasion that happened in the early morning of May 26 to come forward.
Shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to a residence in the 600-block of Carson Crescent.
Surveillance video showed a newer GMC 2500 diesel truck arrive at the home. The truck had a tidy tank in the back and front grill chrome covers.
Three men got out of the vehicle, all were wearing gloves and all had their faces covered. One of the males was wearing a hoody that says “chosen few” on the back. One of the men was carrying a sledge hammer; the other two appeared to be carrying firearms as they entered the house, police said. Several minutes later, the three suspects emerge from the house, got back into their truck and departed, heading towards Lilac Avenue.
One man from the residence went to Royal Inland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police believe this is a targeted attack.
If you have information about this home invasion you are asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
