POLICE – Snowmobiler succumbs to injuries in crash at Sun Peaks
SUN PEAKS – A 28-year-old snowmobiler died Saturday (April 20, 2019) after suffering serious injuries in a crash during the Western Canadian Hillcross Tour at Sun Peaks.
Staff Sgt. Victor Steinhammer said the man, an Alberta resident, was air lifted off the mountain after the accident to the Sun Peaks Health Centre, where he died.
The event had been scheduled to continue Sunday but the rest of the races were cancelled. About 150 riders were competing in the event co-hosted by the Western Canadian Hillcross Association and the Kamloops Snowmobile Association.
No further information on the accident or the identity of the man has been released.

Sadly, another thing for Albertans to lay blame against BC. My cousin was visiting her son in Calgary last week and said people were giving them evil looks because of their BC licence plates…
