CIVIC ELECTION 2018 – Farmers Market forum first out of the gate in Kamloops

The Council of Canadians is the first to announce a civic election forum. It will stick with its traditional Farmers’ Market venue, Kamloops chapter chair Anita Strong announced Sunday (Sept. 16, 2018).

The forum date is Saturday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m.

Candidates are being invited to arrive early, set up tables and distribute brochures before the forum starts. “This will give them the opportunity to lay out their platform rather than taking questioning time to do this.”

Strong said some questions will be pre-written and others will be accepted from the public. Candidates for councillor will be given a minute to answer, while the two mayoral candidates will have two minutes each.

However, the questions will be assigned to random candidates, not all.
