BUSINESS – ‘The Station’ residential/ commercial units filling up fast

Toasting progress at The Station.

Kamloops’ newest residential/ commercial development isn’t even completed yet but has only 10 residential units left for purchase.

A “toast” to The Station was held on the site of the development on Tranquille Road this week with dignitaries joining in. Joshua Knaak, partner in Arpa Investments, announced that the United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo will tentatively move into the new building, as will Bright Eye Brewing.

The United Way is awaiting word from funders before it can confirm the move but the Stollery Charitable Foundation has committed $150,000 for leasehold improvements and moving costs.

The building includes three levels of residential suites including “micro” suites, which Knaak said have sold out. One- and two-bedroom units are still available.

The project is set for completion in the spring of 2019.
