With the risk of flooding dropping, an evacuation order for several properties in the Lower Nicola will be rescinded.
The order for the following properties will be rescinded at 12 noon on Thursday, May 10, says the TNRD:

An evacuation alert will remain in effect. The property at 125 Marshall Road remains under an evacuation order.
The Highway 8 bridge 10 km. west of Merritt was reopened today (May 9, 2018) to local traffic only. The bridge has a width restriction of 4 m., and pedestrians, bicycles and motorcycles are not allowed to cross the bridge yet.
It will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to local traffic with 24-hour emergency service available as safety permits.
The City of Kamloops continues to monitor water levels in Campbell Creek at Barnhartvale Road and Blackwell Road bridge, where the rate of rise has slowed compared to last weekend. The road remains closed.
