POLICE – Possible child-luring incident in Pritchard investigated
Police are reminding parents to reinforce basic safety principles surrounding street proofing their children, after a report of possible child luring Thursday afternoon.
On Feb. 15, 2018 at 4:54 p.m., Chase RCMP received a report of a suspicious incident involving a 14-year-old girl in the Martin Prairie Road area in Pritchard. At about 3:30 p.m. that afternoon, the girl got out of a school bus and was approached by a man driving a maroon four-door car with a black hood.
The girl reported the man told her he was supposed to pick her up. The girl declined the ride, to which the man forcefully told her to get in the vehicle. The girl ran to a nearby residence and the man left the area.
The man is described as about 40 years old, Caucasian with balding hairline, dark coloured hair on the sides of his head with sideburns that extended to his moustache and a goatee. The matter remains under investigation and police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
