POLICE – Masked man robs Tranquille Road business with semi-auto pistol
A man wearing a black ski mask produced a semi automatic pistol and robbed a store at 253 Tranquille Rd. about 8:19 p.m. Sunday night, say police.
The robber is described as a white male of medium build dressed in dark clothing. An employee complied with a demand for money, and the suspect left on foot with an undisclosed sum of money.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250 828 3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8277.
Suspect remanded in pellet pistol case
Meanwhile, in an unrelated case, Joadth Michael Anderson, 32, from Kamloops appeared before a judicial justice on Jan. 6 and was remanded to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court today (Jan. 8, 2018) on several charges: Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Pointing a Firearm and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order.
The charges are in connection with an incident Jan. 5 at 125 Palm St, Kamloops.
Police photos show a pellet pistol recovered at the scene (red wire around the grip), and, for comparison, a real Beretta PX4 Storm SD (Special Duty) pistol in .45 cal.
