POLICE: 24 impaired drivers taken off the road during December

Kamloops RCMP had a busy holiday season keeping an eye on drivers.

According to numbers released today (Jan. 3, 2017), 24 impaired drivers were taken off the road in December.

The following is a breakdown:

9 – 90 day Immediate Roadside Suspensions (IRP)

1 – 7 day IRP

6 – 3 day IRP

6 – 24 hour suspensions

2 – 12 hour suspensions

Several other Criminal Code and Motor Vehicle Act Violations were discovered including:

1 – Person with a Criminal Warrant

9 – Drug Seizures

1 – 2 Seized firearms

1 – Criminal drive while prohibited

1 – Administrative Driving Prohibition
