WHAT’S UP DOWNTOWN – Christmas with the CAP team
WITH THE holiday season in full swing and Christmas just around the corner, most people are swept up in the season’s festivities and preparing to celebrate with loved ones. Whether it’s last minute shopping, anticipating the homecoming of friends and family, or packing to take Christmas out of town, it’s a busy time of year for everyone.
Amongst all the excitement it’s important to reflect on all the events of 2017, both good and bad, and acknowledge how fortunate we are to live in a city like Kamloops and to be part of a community that comes together not only during the holidays, but year-round.
The CAP team has been a part of many new and positive events in Downtown Kamloops during 2017, and we are grateful that the local community has been receptive, engaged, and enthusiastic about the collective accomplishments.
The confident expectancy of the year ahead is built upon the success of initiatives undertaken throughout 2017, initiatives that could not have happened without the generosity and encouragement of local businesses, community members, and the people of Kamloops.
In reflection, it’s difficult to choose a single ‘best’ highlight in 2017 simply because of the abundance of truly special and memorable moments. Each season brought with it a variety of events and projects that worked to make Downtown Kamloops a welcoming place for everyone.
A heartfelt thank-you must be given to all the locals, visitors, employees, business owners, and artisans that we had the pleasure of meeting and working with in the past 12 months, as it is these interactions that make being part of the CAP Team such a rewarding experience.
The CAP Team will be away from Dec. 23 until Jan. 3, but we will be back refreshed and ready to take on the New Year, and make 2018 as full and prosperous as 2017. From myself and the rest of the CAP Team, Merry Christmas, and enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday season.
