POLICE – One in hospital, one in custody after McGowan Avenue stabbing
A suspect is in custody after a stabbing late Wednesday (Dec. 6, 2017) night.
At about 9:45 p.m. the Kamloops RCMP received a call from Royal Inland Hospital of a man showing up with a gunshot wound.
General duty members and the Target Enforcement Unit arrived at RIH and learned the man had actually been stabbed in the area of McGowan Avenue.
A suspect was quickly identified and taken into custody. The victim, a 37-year-old man, remains in hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
The 19-year-old suspect will appear in court later today.
