POLICE – Kamloops Walmart reopened after store searched following threat

Customers and employees have now been allowed back into the Kamloops Walmart, RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said just before 3 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 13, 2017).

The store was evacuated for about three hours after a threat was posted on an internet webpage.

Shelkie said the store has been searched and the threat has been deemed false.

Police are speaking with the moderator of the webpage to which the threat was posted, and the investigation is ongoing.
