QUIZ – Who’s that bearded man sitting with the BC Liberals in the Ledge?
Who is that bearded fellow sitting in Question Period in the B.C. Legislature on Monday (Nov. 6, 2017)? Could it be the ghost of former health minister Terry Lake, in the back row of the Official Opposition as MLA Shirley Bond speaks?
Certainly looks like it. Either that, or the real Terry Lake is suddenly back in government.
But wait, upon a closer look, he’s not actually in the second row of the B.C. Liberals, he’s sitting behind the MLAs in a sort of third row, obviously visiting the Ledge and taking in the debate from the floor — albeit out of the action — rather than in the public gallery. Another give-away that he wasn’t actually part of the action is that he didn’t have a desk to pound on.
Didn’t know they could do that, but obviously former members are allowed to sit in at the Ledge behind their former colleagues as a courtesy.

I don’t think I can think of a better way to spend a day than sit there and listen to children bickering. But he could have reduced his carbon footprint by simply visiting a local daycare…assuming the criminal background check came back clean.
