WHAT’S UP DOWNTOWN – Join the Cappies for a picnic in the park

TIRED OF the same old lunch routine? Sitting at your desk, dreaming about the warm breeze of summer gusting through your hair, soaking up the rays, kicking back and taking a REAL break from work for your mid day of off duty time?

You work hard, too hard even, and deserve a better break than that of sitting at your desk listening to your co-worker Joe chew with his mouth open.

We at Downtown Kamloops understand this frustration, that’s why we want to invite all the hard-working people of Downtown Kamloops to our Pop-Up Picnic! (Don’t worry, we also consider shopping hard work, everyone is invited!)

This Friday, Aug. 25, BCLC has sponsored a Pop-Up Picnic at Gaglardi Park (St. Andrews on the Square).

You could bring your own lunch, but it’s Friday, and who wants to do that? Instead, bring some cash, and purchase a sandwich and/or salad from our Taste of Downtown winner, Dickens Café.

This event runs from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Since you’ll be there anyway, why not stay a while? The CAP Team will be setting up games, outdoor seating, and of course there will be live music to enjoy!
